Here are 8 delightful desserts made with peaches. Some are classics; others offer a delicious twist on the ordinary. Put them on your fall menus and enjoy.
1. 'Peaches and Cream' - a most popular flavour that originated with this simple dessert: place cut up peaches in a bowl and add cream. Serve with cookies!
2. Peach pie baked in a flaky pie crust is a classic. Dress up the succulent peach filling made with a lattice or double crust. It's gorgeous.
3. For a refreshing fruit salad, mix peaches with your favourite fruits - blueberries, raspberries and melon. Serve in a pretty parfait glass and top with vanilla yogurt.
4. Compote is another type of fruit salad that is sure to tantalize your taste buds! Simmer peaches with other ripe stone fruit such as nectarines and plums with honey, lemon and cinnamon. The result: a fruit compote that tastes delicious with plain yogurt or ice cream.
